Bio:

I grew up in Drummond, MT. It was a small town where I was able to gain good work ethic being around hard working people. I watched my parents both work day in and day out to make ends meet, and as I got older I wanted to always grow my own businesses and make my own way. Upon graduating in 1998 I started college in Idaho at Ricks before transferring to Montana in the year 2000.

In 2004 I graduated from the University of Montana with a bachelor's degree in Relationship Communication (Counseling), but I was never wanting to actually use the degree rather I loved the skill set I learned from it on how to communicate with people especially when it comes to their needs and what triggers them. I bounced in and out of odd jobs until one day a blessing came in the form of me getting red from the last "clock in" job I ever had.

I asked myself one question: What would I love doing? It always came back to music. So to make a living involving myself with music a DJ company was the path I was going to take.

My life as a business owner/Entrepreneur started in 2007 and I haven't looked back since. I have learned so many tricks, tips, and methods over the last 11 years and I can't wait to share them with you because I know they work, and I know anyone can create income doing something they love.

Bio:

Came from a rocky childhood. Always on the move. In and out of corrections. Whole family was poor. My first entrepreneurial move was reselling designer headphones in college, then moved to mlm, and started my own business shortly after. Since then, I’ve launched 3 LLC’s, and gotten very involved with day trading. I became fascinated with trading shortly after college. I was working in steel labor at the time, so didn’t have much to invest. And the rst time I did invest, I lost it all quick. But, a short time after, I got pretty good at it. I then started mentoring others, managing funds, and becoming a licensed investment advisor. Now we’re at the head of a 7 figure empire at 25 years old, diversifying into many other assets, and headed nowhere but upward.

Erica Hurt

BirchTree Branded

erica@birchtreebranded.com

Bio:

With a natural passion for creativity and bringing people together, Erica joined the marketing and event industry in 2008 when she decided to throw rock concerts to raise money for local nonprofit organizations.

Her work as a promoter and event coordinator led her to Denver where she started Right2Riot Entertainment, a music promotion company focusing on helping underground musicians access marketing and promotion they otherwise wouldn't be able to afford. Simultaneously, she worked as the Special Events Coordinator for Metropolitan State University helping to coordinate and market over 250 events annually.

In 2012, Erica merged her love for bringing people together, and her formal education in marketing and communications, when she moved back to her hometown of Missoula, MT and joined the nonprofit marketing industry.

However, Erica always knew she wanted to go back to growing the entrepreneurial seed instilled in her while in Denver. In 2016, she decided to dip her toe in the pool of small business marketing, slowly taking on clients and helping them re-brand and build strategies around increasing revenue.

Today, her entrepreneurial spirit is unstoppable. She has grown her marketing agency, helping small business owners across the Rocky Mountain region, into the Pacific Northwest, Mid-West, and Arizona. Erica is a HubSpot Certified Social Media Marketer, Certified Inbound Marketing Strategist, and holds a B.A. in Communication Studies from the University of Montana.

While she's not working, Erica loves to fish, hike, and spend time with her family. She currently lives in Hamilton, MT where she and her husband purchased their first home at the base of the beautiful Bitterroot Mountains.

Jesse & Chuad Johnson

Growth Point

cmouajj@gmail.com

Bio:

Jesse and Chuad Johnson were both born and raised in Missoula, MT. They have three children (11, 8, 5.) Both graduates of the University of Montana, Jesse is a Navy veteran and a former police and fire chief. He spent ten years in the airport rescue/firefighting operations division with six of those as Chief. He stepped away from the 9-5 nearly two years ago to pursue his life long passion in health and wellness. Chuad is a former educator of ten years. She was able to step away from her teaching career to spend more time with her family thanks to network marketing. Working their network marketing business in the pockets of their day while raising their family, they have been able to contribute significantly to their family's finances by adding an additional stream of residual income to their family's financial blueprint.

The vehicle of network marketing has allowed them the option to pursue the things that pull at their spirit. The time flexibility has allowed Chuad to spend more time doing philanthropic activities she truly loves. She is the founder/creator behind the Zootown Mom Prom, a very popular and successful ladies night out community giveback charity event, and is working on adding more community events in the upcoming year. She is teaching their daughter how to run her own business by helping her operate and manage her own online clothing boutique, Jess & Lyn. Chuad is also an internationally certified John Maxwell Team trainer, speaker and coach. Jesse is currently working on his John Maxwell Team certification.

With his degree in Business Administration and Information Systems, Jesse is spearheading the social media management lane of their newest endeavor (Growth Point Social) for 2019 on top of expanding the wellness and health lane of Growth Point (Growth Point Wellness) which includes their network marketing company.

During the summer months, they (alongside their family) operate their nine acre produce farm (Johnson's Homegrown.) They can be found slinging fresh homegrown produce at the local farmer's market. They have been providing local produce to the community, restaurants, caterers, local schools, and the food bank for the last fifteen years. They truly believe operating a farm and having a farmer's mindset has been key to growing their businesses and constantly looking at opportunities to bring in multiple streams of income to support their family.

Though it's not always easy to work as a couple and balance family and careers, they always try to grow through life and business together. Fluidity, putting forth constant effort, and failing forward are crucial for growth and success. They are humbled to have been asked to be a part of Off the Clock.
